Hi I’m Tom “Marshall” Hughes and my two passions in life are music & helping people and whenever possible I combine the two.

I started DJ’ing in my last year at school in 1974 and moved on to MC and presenter work in 1979. I worked at Hospital Radio Wrightington late 70’s to 1985 and was a guest presenter on BBC regional radio soul shows. I also wrote for Blues & Soul, Disco International and Mixmag. In 1990 my “other” career was taking off, I also got married and I scaled back on my music life, just DJ’ing locally. I then helped organisations achieve excellence through engaging their staff. I went self employed in 2012 and have continued this work but with start-up’s, small business and individuals. I am a qualified NLP Practitioner, coach, mentor and facilitator.

I came back to radio in 2011 and currently present shows on Salford City Radio & Mayhem Radio.I hope to bring Soul, Funk, R&B, Jazz & House heaven to my show here on Spirit and Soul Radio. I am also looking forward to being part of the family. Make sure you get in touch.
